From our very first meeting to the final finishes of your project, we are here to ensure that our customers have a stress free, and gorgeous kitchen remodel in Waseca. Here’s how we do it:

Step 1: The Brief

We start with a conversation, usually via Zoom or a phone call. During this meeting you will share your vision of the kitchen you are hoping for. We will get pictures of the space, measurements, and maybe some draft sketches. This the meeting when we will be asking a lot of questions. We will hear what you have in mind, give some advice, and talk through your goals, desires, and any fears you may have regarding the project. Step 2: The Ballpark

Now we talk about different budgets. We call this the ballpark. We will give you an estimated range and see whether this is a number you can work with. If you would like to proceed with a formal estimate, we will give you a design retainer.

1. Tentative budget proposal – We will set up a meeting to go over some possible selections, basic layout, and a 3D drawing. A $300 fee is associated with this service.
2. Budget approval – Moving into a design agreement and paying a retainer fee which is typically 2.5% of the ballpark range. This retainer fee is credited back at the end of the project. If you decide that you are ready to start this step, we will set up a meeting to start making design and selection decisions. The fun starts now!

Step 3: The Design

Home Sweet Home, Waseca will now conduct a site measure to gather all the information we’ll need to analyze space planning and evaluations for our trades. After we’ve determined these elements, we move to material options and product finishes to fine-tune the estimate.

We offer a variety of finishing options at various price ranges. We will not offer our customers any products that we wouldn’t put in our own homes. Once your choices are made, we order and receive all the items we’ll need to start the scheduling process.

Home Sweet Home submits all necessary permit requests needed after the design is confirmed and you are ready to approve the quote.

Step 4: The Build

The construction starts. We want you to rest assured that you have a dedicated team to take care of everything from here, giving you peace of mind. Because we take so much time in project planning, the build process is much smoother, and you will be able to anticipate each phase of the build.

Step 5: The Final Product

As the project gets close to completion, we will do a walk through with you. At this time, we will create a list of things that may still need some attention, to ensure that you are happy. Once these items have been attended to, we do a final cleanup, the final payment is received, and the build phase is considered complete. Your warranty will be explained to you at the completion of the project, along with any relevant product warranties.
